The Judicial Council of California has put nearly all evictions in the state on ice except for the most egregious of circumstances.

The guidelines are as follows:

› Barring the court's finding of serious health and concerns, there is a suspension in the issuance of summons in unlawful detainer actions.
› The Judicial Council prevents entry of default an/or default judgments in unlawful detainer cases, absent a health and safety reason and the defendant has not appeared.
› Unlawful detainer trials will be set no earlier than 60 days after a request for trial, absent health or safety threats. All trials penciled in as of April 1 will be continued for at least 60 days.
